Most of the times people rely either on breakfast or on brunch. Breakfast are one of the important part of our dining where some of them have their breakfast at home and some may go out. So, these hash browns recipe is the key component to our breakfast. Well, this includes eggs and potatoes. Hash browns recipe prepartion time is almost 15 minutes. These hash browns are perfectly made for breakfast which are super crispy and delicious to have.
Ingredients required
- 3 peeled potatoes
- 1 cup of Rice flour
- 2 chopped onions
- salt to taste
- coriander leaves
- cheese if required
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp chilly powder
- 2 tbsp oil
How to prepare Hash Browns ?
Hash browns are prepared from potatoes which is the star ingredient of it. There are different versions of using potatoes to make this dish like shredded potatoes, grated potatoes,riced or diced finely. After frying it will give you crispy flavour that makes even delicious while having it.
- Take 3 potatoes according to your choice and peel it properly
2) Grate the potatoes finely and put them inside the cold water for 1 minute and drain out the remaining water.
3) Take a kitchen cloth or either squeeze out the water with your palms .
4) Take a bowl and add the grated potatoes inside the bowl and add 1-2 chopped onions.
5) Add 1 cup of Rice flour inside it. You can also use All purpose flour/Maida for binding it.
6) Add 1 egg inside it and add salt and chilly powder according to your taste
7) Add coriander leaves inside it and mix it properly. Do not add water inside it.
8) After mixing it up nicely place it on pan for frying. Do shallow fry not deep fry. Properly spread it with spoon. You can shape it according to your choice rounded or square or rectangle. Cook until the underside is golden brown and crispy to touch.
Hash browns are ready to serve. They can be kept in a refrigerator for 2-3 days. If you want you can also add pepper powder, chat masala or some other spices just to give some flavour. Otherwise, you can have it normally. For platting techniques do watch my video described above.
