By Road – : After spending your lovely time in Bangalore you can drive your car and visit this cultural city. This is 3 hours away from Bangalore.
Different Things to do and Visit in Mysore
1. Chamundi Hills
The chamundi hills is located 13 kms away from the main city of Mysore. It is famous for the tourist attraction and the Temple. It is tourist magnet for the nature lovers and the devotional people.Visiting time of tourist is from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm.
This Chamundi hill is located at the elevation of a kilometer from the sea level. The chamundi hill name is given for this place as the goddess Chamundi Devi had killed one of the devil in this place. Mahabalachala is the previous name for the chamundi hill.
2. Mysore Palace
This should be your first place to visit in Mysore. Never visit on weekends there as it is jammed pack. It is a place of royals, but we have to lined ourselves in a queue which was very long. Although after entering the palace it doesn’t matter as we have to walk the whole palace within the queue.
As we enter the palace it was having such a beautiful view as it was a three storey stone structure with marble domes. This palace is commonly known as Indo-Saracenic. When we had a look at the interiors it overwhelmed and amazed our eyes.
The architecture styles of marble domes and the pillars were described within the Mughal and Rajput styles. We felt that we were back again in Mughal and Rajput Emperor. That is the most amazing view so far.
The view of the clamp(jumar) is so nicely set in the middle of the dome with lots of lights surrounding it which gives a very fresh look to the palace.
3. Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden
Sri Chamarajendra zoological garden is famous and known as “Mysuru Zoo”. It is one of the oldest zoos in Mysuru. It will take almost 2 to 3 hours to explore the whole zoo as there are many sections to see various animals.
After entering the zoo you can see the map which gives you the directions within the zoo. It gives a lot of help to understand which animal shed is located at what location.
You can have a look at various aquatic animals, birds, reptiles and many different varieties of species. This zoo is kept very clean and all the animals are active and in a good condition. Generally many zoos don’t provide such good amount of space to live but here it is very spacious for the animals.
The zoo is a plastic-free zone. If any one caught during littering then 100 rs fine is taken from them. Also we don’t need to carry water bottle as there are many RO water filter located at a minimum distance. There are many souveneirs shops near by in the zoo so that the tourist can purchase souveneirs.
4. Brindavan Garden
Brindavan garden is famous tourist places of attraction. It is famous for its musical fountain in the park. There are shows scheduled in the evening where everyone can enjoy and have fun listening to late 80’s and 90’s songs.
The Brindavan garden is located near Mandya district near Krishnarajasagara dam. The visiting time is from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm for the tourist. The entry fee is nominal for all. Boat rides are also available for fun. Fruit Orchard and horticulture frms are also situated. Best time to visit is after sunsetas you can enjoy the fountain show and also pleasant weather.
