Taste of India – It is one of the largest food festivals celebrated in Toronto every year down the lane with the participation of almost 100+ artists performing all kinds of art forms. This festival is all about the celebration of different cultures and traditions of India. It brings along every individual and all the immigrants with great enthusiasm and excitement.
It is a great initiative to encourage multiculturalism among immigrants and connect with all kinds of Indian art forms, rich culture, and religion. They organize this festival close to Independence Day as most of the population is from India. This is a proud moment for all Indians and it acts as an inspiration to remain knitted to our culture.

If you are a food lover you can explore this event with your friends and family as this is a family-oriented event. It was a two-day event i.e. on August 4 and 5. It mainly conceptualized Street food as it will attract many Indians and this will feel like wandering on the Indian street.
Along with food, there were many other tipi tents of jewelry, clothing, and diverse fields of art. There were more than 100+ artists who performed in various genres of dance forms like classical, semiclassical, hip-hop, Bollywood, and freestyle.

You will see plenty of food stalls with different varieties of food and with different traditional food. There was a mix of traditional with Western types of food. There was a huge crowd and long queues outside each stall. Restaurants, catering services, and food vendors were selling their best products to the customers. Some samples of food were also free for a few customers as well. We had to think about what should we eat due to the long queues and exceptional options at the event.
This year, Chef Vikas Khanna took a visit on the 5th of August to the Taste of India event to try some unique delicacies. Moreover, they have arranged another section of liquor booths for 18+. You can vibe and sip at the same moment. It was a really beautiful experience to spend some good time with my friends at this event.
I am looking forward to celebrating another exciting event in Canada.
