Shimla is also known as Simla located in the northen state of Himachal Pradesh. It is popularly known as “Queen of Hills”. The elevation above the sea level is 2276 m above. The average temperature is about 22 °C normally but in winter it can bet down to almost 4 °C to 7 °C.
Best time to Visit here is from March to June. The weather is pleasant and for tourists it is easy to perform outdoor activities at that time.
How to Reach Shimla ?
By Air :- Nearby airports are Chandigarh and Pathankot that provide air connectivity andd from that you can hire a cab or taxi.
By Road:- You can easily book the bus by online Himachal Tourism by collaborating with them. It is easily accessible to go by road from chandigarh and Delhi by car.
Via Train :- You can take a train till Delhi, Punjab or Pathankot and that connects to Shimla Line.
The Journey Begins
It was raining when we headed towards Shimla and these dew drops on our car was so amazing that we were enjoying the whole journey. It took us 2 hours 30 min to reach Shimla and from the main city 22 kms to reach our Hotel Naldehra. Road from Shimla to Naldehra was amazing and this place is unique and close to nature.

This place has 18 -hole golf course and also Horse – riding.You can also enjoy different activities like burma bridge and Zipline. The cost for horse-riding is 250 INR. The mountain views from this hill station is amazing. This place is very peaceful away from the rush and crowd.
This is a perfect spot to visit and from each window you can see different scenic views. Golf- course is the main attraction of this spot.But only a member is allowed to play not a tourist.
Kufri Sightseeing
Kufri is the small location in Shimla which is very popular due to it’sLake known as Kufri. Mahasu peak in Kufri is the highest point of hill station. There are panoramic views surrounding with the mountain ranges.
Kufri has different spots like Kufri Lake, Kufri Zoo, Indira Gandhi Park, Hip Hip Hurray Amusement park, Green Valley and many more. Different sports adventures like Zipline,Para-gliding, Go-karting,bunjee-jumping are located here.
Things to Carry
- Carry Cotton clothes during summer and windy jackets and umbrella during monsoon. If you are traveeling in winter do carry woolen clothes with socks.
- Carry all the essentials like Powerbank, Mobile charger, Laptop charger, also a good DSLR.
- Mostly take Shoes with yourself if you want to do some adventure spots.
