Panshet is near the Pune city within 50kms range. It took about 2 hours to reach the location. It was our spontaneous trip. We started at 7 in the morning and we reached near khadakwasla dam at 8 am. We took a halt near khadakwasla dam to spent some time near the dam. It was a pleasant weather.
Panshet Dam is built on Ambi river and it is majorly called as Tanajisagar Dam. Here, in the lake there is also a private Boating facility available. For speed boat they will charge 200 rs per person and for private 500 rs an hour.
Near by the dam there is also Dolphin Aqua Center sports. There is a restaurant located at the dam where you can enjoy local food. The owner of restaurant will give you a special deal. He will give you some fishes like bombil, Rawas Masa to carry with you in the city and cost you some money.
Journey Towards Lavasa
After having good delicious food we decided to head towards Lavasa. So we started our journey from panshet to lavasa. The total distance is about 40 kms to reach there. As we started our journey it was going good but, after 5-6 kms it was disaster. The road was not good at all. There are lot of potholes in the way and the remaining road was not plain, it was full of pebbles throughout.
Generally 40 km is hardly an hour but, on that route it took almost 2 hrs and more. We have to take our speed as less than 20 km/hr. Although the road was not good but the view was beautiful. It was breathtaking as it was away from normal hustle life. The water was flowing silently and it just took away my heart. It was so pure than our normal rivers or lakes.
We reached Lavasa at 3 pm and parked our bikes. After that tiring ride we had a good tea break that refreshes our mind and calm us down. So we started exploring the city. The city was surrounded by a lake which was mesmerizing view. All the buildings were colorful and some of the construction was remained still due to some legal issues.
There were Mexican restaurants and many other restaurants within the city. All the restaurants receive fair amount of lake view.
It was fun clicking photos and posing in that scenic view. The city is so beautiful and the surrounding is always clean and neat. Infact, there are boards after every 20 minutes that not to litter anything.
It was our time to drive back to the city. This was the picturesque view and don’t want to leave the city. When we are leaving the city through zigzag road we got to the point where you can have a look at the entire city.
This was the amazing view as the sun was setting. We reached in the pune city around 8 in the evening with the cherishing memories that we spent all day with my group.
